This post is for Technorati verification purposes and my blog claim token is 8K6H8RSC3B7D.

Technorati is an Internet search engine for searching blogs. Technorati looks at tags that authors have placed in their blog articles and then uses these article tags to help categorize the articles for search result purposes.

When a blog owner signs up on the Technorati website and asks that their blog be registered, they will be given a “blog claim token” (mine is on the first line of this article). Technorati asks that the blog owner create a new article (that’s what this is) and include the claim token in the body of the article so that they can verify that you are in fact, the true owner of the blog.

After posting this article, I notified Technorati that I had created this verification post and they have given me the following information:

“We have successfully crawled your blog and found the claim token, and your claim is now awaiting review.”

Now let’s see what happens next.

January 26, 2010 Update:

I got an email from Technorati that said:

“Congratulations, your claim is now complete! Please allow 24 to 48 hours for Authority and recent posts to begin showing for your site now that it has been successfully claimed. Once they are there, we will update your site’s Authority once per day.”
