Everyone should be backing up their blog database. If you have never needed to use a backup copy of something, count yourself very lucky. Whether it be a Word document, a photograph or a database… you should be backing up all of your work. If something goes wrong, you won’t lose your hard-earned work.

I looked at several photo gallery plugins for WordPress and found “Shutter Reloaded” to be the best. It is very similar to “Lightbox” in that it displays your photos on top of your blog page.

I’ve downloaded and installed the WordPress “Post Teaser” plugin on this blog. From my WordPress admin panel I asked “post teaser” to keep my home page posts to roughly 100 words and then add a “Read the full article…” link to read the entire post.
