From Stevens Pass, drive 7.5 miles and park in a turnout on the north side of US-2... ~1.5 miles east of the Stevens Pass Nordic Center.

We crossed US-2 and beat the brush up to the railroad tracks.

We will walk east for 1.3 miles on the tracks.

After hiking the tracks for 1.3 miles... we left the tracks (2665') at railroad milepost 1698.

There was a little bit of brush bashing after leaving the railroad tracks, but not much.

One small stream crossing... on steep terrain now.
