Sand Bench Trail - 4.24.2016

The trailhead for this hike is Shuttle Bus Stop #4 in Zion Canyon.

Here comes the sun... as it hits the 'Court of the Patriarchs'... Mount Moroni is still in the shade on the right.

The trail quickly crosses the Virgin River.
|
We aren't quite in the sun yet... the north end of 'The Sentinel' is on the left... with 'The Court of the Patriarchs' on the right.

After hiking three-quarters of a mile we will start the loop portion of the trail... I recommend doing the loop in a counter-clockwise direction.

As we continue on the loop portion of the trail more of 'The Sentinel' comes into view.

Now we can see the high point of 'The Sentinel' on the left.
