Kendall Knob - 2.12.2009
rodman's GPS route from a 2004 snowshoe trip... take exit 54 on I-90 and park in the Gold Creek Sno-park (2600') on the east side of I-90.
Ski FS 9090... in a mile or so you get a partial view of Keechelus Lake.
Just before turning up valley I got this view of Ski Acres before skiing into the void.
Very limited views where FS 9090 meets the Kendall Lakes Trailhead... also severe flood damage here from Kendall Creek.
Skiing back down on 5 inches of fluffy stuff will be fun.
After skiing 3 miles and gaining 1700 feet of elevation I get this view of frozen trees at the high point (4280+) on Kendall Knob.
On my return to the car the sunshine starts to hit the Snoqualmie Pass ski area.
The sun is trying... probably waiting to show itself when I get back to the car.
Yep... plenty of sun near the parking lot.
The avalanche area at Hyak... the chair-lift post in the middle of the photo is leaning... then a couple of posts below it are missing.
