Today the White River Road was gated at the junction with Highway 410... so I will bike 3.6 miles to the Owyhigh Lakes Trailhead.

A quarter mile beyond Owyhigh Lakes you will get your first view of the Cowlitz Chimneys... the main trail goes to the left... you will want to step over the log and enter the large meadow.

Continue along the right side of the meadow until you see the path leading uphill.
