Take Exit 80 off of I-90... locate the Brick Tavern on South 1st Street in the town of Roslyn... then follow the instructions above.

rodman's GPS track for our hike to Hex Mountain... 7.5 miles roundtrip, gaining 2830 feet of elevation.

There was so little snow today that we actually drove beyond Newport Creek and parked a short distance up Newport Creek Drive (~2400').

After hiking the road for a quarter mile or so we came to a 'Y' in the road... look for the patch of blue paint on the tree next to two of those green box things... this is the best route to take.

Nearing the summer trail head... where is the snow?

After hiking on the road system for ~1.5 miles we have reached the summer trailhead (~3400').
