Teanaway Peak and Iron Peak - 5.13.2014

We were able to drive the RAV4 all the way to the Iron Peak Trailhead (3960')... but did need to bull-rush our way through a 30 foot patch of snow at Camp Wahoo.

The Trailhead for Iron Peak is an 8.6 mile drive from the entrance to 29 Pines Campground.

We didn't hike very far until we got this view of Fortune Peak and South Ingalls Peak.

There was so much snow that the snowshoes came on quickly... allowing us to take a fairly direct route to the ridge leading to Iron Peak.
