A dusting of snow at the Mount Pilchuck trailhead (3160')... a 6.8 mile drive from the Mountain Loop Highway.

The trail switchbacks up a boulder field about a mile into the hike.

Continuous snow and ice about half way through the hike... the lookout is somewhere up there on the left high point.
