Suicide Rock - 4.18.2015
A photo of our GPS track for our hike to Suicide Rock in the San Jacinto Mountains... 8.5 miles roundtrip, gaining 2100 feet of elevation.

We parked in the town of Idyllwild at Idyllwild Park and crossed the road to start our hike on the Deer Springs Trail.

Info on the Deer Springs Trail... you do need to get a wilderness permit at the Ranger station in town.

After hiking 3 miles we reached a junction... and have a mile to go to reach Suicide Rock.

BarbE and I were waiting for tomman and Denali Girl to arrive... so I decided to go up to the high point (7528') on Suicide Rock.

The views from the top of Suicide Rock weren't as good as those a bit lower down... this peek-a-boo view of the San Jacinto Mountains was the only view.
