The Emerald Pools Trail starts across the road from the Zion Lodge... our hike was ~2 miles, gaining ~400 feet of elevation.

The middle pool was not very impressive... so lets go on up to the upper pool.
The Upper Emerald Pool is very nice.
We have returned past the middle pool... and will make a loop out of this hike by hiking to the Grotto via the Kayenta Trail.
From the Kayenta Trail we are looking back at the waterfalls that feed the upper and lower Emerald Pools.
We are looking up canyon at Angels Landing and Observation Point from the bridge crossing near the Grotto... now we will take the Shuttle Bus back to the Zion Lodge and then back to our car at the Visitors Center.
