Broken Hand and Broken Hand West - 9.20.2016
We started at the trailhead for Broken Top Trail No. 10... We got here after driving Road 370/Todd Lake Road for 4.1 miles... then turn left onto Road 380 and drive 1.1 miles to the trailhead... our trip was 6.2 miles roundtrip, gaining 1825 feet of elevation.

After hiking a very short distance we got this look at Broken Top.

Broken Top and Broken Hand are in the Three Sisters Wilderness.

We came to a trail junction and there was no sign... stay to the right here.

After hiking a mile or so the trail crosses this stream on the west side of Ball Butte.

Continuing on the well-traveled trail.

Total beauty... in my opinion this hike is the 'biggest bang for your buck' in Central Oregon.

We have found a nice path that goes along the south side of Broken Hand... Broken Top and the tarn are behind us.
