Barker Dam Loop via Barker Dam Link-Up Trail - 1.26.2017
We parked at the Echo 'T' parking area of Joshua Tree National Park... there is no official sign for the Barker Dam Link-Up Trail.

While there wasn't a sign for the Barker Dam Link-Up Trail, we started hiking NE on a climbers path that took us around Echo Rock on its SE side.

Hiking east now toward Barker Dam... looking for a connection to the Barker Dam Loop Trail.

Very hard to pass up this rock... so lets roam around on it for a bit.

We have connected with the Barker Dam Loop trail and have arrived at the dam.... Valhalla Dome is in the center of the photo.

We have left the lake and are continuing south on the Barker Dam Loop.

Some interesting petroglyphs on the Barker Dam Loop... we will connect with the Barker Dam Link-Up Trail very soon after leaving the petroglyphs... leaving a mile or so to get back to our car at the Echo 'T'... 2.9 miles roundtrip, gaining 106 feet of elevation.
