Mount Lemmon and Lemmon Rock Lookout - 4.23.2017
We turned off of the Mount Lemmon Highway onto Ski Run Road and drove to where it was gated.

We parked where Ski Run Road is gated... the summit of Mt. Lemmon is just a short walk up the road.

The Steward Observatory is located at the summit.

The area is gated... what's up with that... oh well, we tried.

We left the observatory road and hiked a short distance cross country to join up with Meadow Trail #5A and followed it SW into what the USGS map shows as Lemmon Park.

Now we will hook up with Mt. Lemmon Trail #5... and follow it east toward Lemmon Rock Lookout.

Leaving the lookout and heading back to the car... our loop hike was 2.9 miles, gaining 652 feet of elevation.
