Point 4750, Point 4695 and Point 4137 - 1.15.2019
I parked at the Quail Springs Picnic Area in Joshua Tree National Park... I will be heading for Point 4750 (center of photo) and Point 4695 (right center of photo).
Looking back at the parking area as I hike SW on an obvious path.
Still on the good path as I head for my points of interest.
I will leave the trail when I reach the wash ahead... and head cross country up to Point 4137 just beyond the wash.
Off trail now and heading up to what I assume is Point 4137.
Pencil Cactus... there were lots of them on this hillside.

A pano shot from Point 4137... Points 4750 and 4695 are in the distance on the right... the two distant peaks in the center of the photo are Lang Mine Peak and Mt. Minerva Hoyt.
Leaving Point 4137... I will do Point 4750 on the left... then Point 4695 after that.. then loop back down to 4137 and trace my steps back to the car.
Working my way up to Point 4750... Point 4695 is on the right.
Getting closer to the top of Point 4750.
Now I can see the top of Point 4750.
Just go up the corridor in the center of the photo.

Minerva Hoyt is prominent in the right center of the photo with the top of Quail Mountain covered by clouds to the right of Minerva Hoyt.
I have left Point 4750 and heading toward Point 4695.
Looking up at Point 4695 from the saddle between 4695 and 4750.
This barrel cactus looks like it is getting ready to bloom.
Getting closer to the top of Point 4695.
Almost on the summit of Point 4695.
Looking over to Point 4750 from Point 4695.
Leaving Point 4695 and heading down to close the loop portion of my trip at Point 4137.
I will pick up the trail over there on the sandy berm and follow it for a half-mile back to the car... this trip was 3.4 miles, gaining 1190 feet of elevation.
