Mount Bachelor - 6.10.2019
I parked (~6400') just off of Cascade Lakes Hwy at the closed gate to Mount Bachelor's Sunrise Lodge.

After hiking less than a quarter mile I reached the base of the Sunrise Express Chairlift and started hiking uphill.

I quickly found this plowed maintenance road and decided to follow it as long as it went uphill... it wasn't as direct as going straight uphill, but it made for a lot easier travel.

The plowed maintenance road ended at the base of the Summit Express Chairlift (~7300').

From the base of the chairlift I'm going to go straight up a couple hundred feet of elevation and work my way up to a partially treed rib above and to the right side of the chairlift.

I have reached the rib (~7800') and will follow it toward the summit... a nice view of North Sister in the distance.

Looking down toward the Sunrise Lodge... and across Cascade Lakes Hwy to Tumalo Mountain.

On the treed rib that will take me up to ~8500 feet.

At least 400 feet of elevation gain on the rib was melted out... making for slightly easier travel.

Continuing up the rib... with every step higher providing a better view of Three Sisters and Broken Top.

At ~8500 feet I am off of the rib and heading for the top of the Summit Express Chairlift.

Looking back at the top (~9000') of the Summit Express Chairlift as I head NW for the Mount Bachelor summit.

The summit is in view.

The summit (9065') is very flatish and roomy.

From the Bachelor summit I am looking south (left) to west (right)... lots of water.

After spending an hour on the summit I am ready to plunge step down from the top of the Summit Express Chairlift via the Beverley Hills ski run... Tumalo Mountain is on the other side of the Cascade Lakes Hwy.

From the base of the Summit Express Chairlift I headed down the Marshmallow ski run and now I can see the Sunrise Lodge below... the trip was 5.8 miles roundtrip, gaining 2760 feet of elevation.
