Sibley Peak and Sibley Point - 6.30.2019

From the Cascade River Road... turn onto FS-1540 and drive 4.7 miles to the Hidden Lake Trailhead (~3500')... the road was pretty rugged in several places... however, there was a Toyota Prius in the parking lot.

After hiking a little more than a mile we got our first look at Sibley Peak... with Sibley Pass to the right of the peak.

After hiking the trail for 2.2 miles we left the main trail at 5400 feet and headed up toward Sibley Pass... Sibley Peak is on the far left.

Looking back at the weather building over Sibley Peak and Sibley Pass... we are a mile from the car and will barely beat the rain... our trip was 6 miles roundtrip, gaining ~3800 feet of elevation.
