Bald Mountain - 10.15.2019
We began this hike at the trailhead for the Wheeler Peak Summit Trail... located at the high point (10,161') on the Wheeler Peak Scenic Road in the Great Basin National Park.
After hiking a mile or so we got a clean view of Wheeler Peak on the right and Jeff Davis Peak on the left.

We have left the Wheeler Peak Summit Trail and are heading cross country for the south ridge of Bald Mountain.

The huge basin that is west of Bald Mountain... there is a similar sized basin to the east, but I didn't take a photo of it.
I have left the summit of Bald Mountain and returned to meet Denali Girl where we gained the south ridge of Bald... we decided to hike over to the saddle between Bald and Wheeler... then use the Wheeler Peak Summit Trail to get back to the car.
