Tumalo Mountain - 7.30.2020
We parked at the Dutchman Flat Sno Park... across the highway from Mount Bachelor... South Sister dominates the horizon on this hazy day.

The trailhead for Tumalo Mountain Trail #38 starts at the north end of the sno park.

After hiking in the trees for approximately one mile we started getting a nice view of Mount Bachelor.

Lots of lupine on the upper portion of the hike... with the Tumalo summit area above.

We reached the summit area after hiking 2 miles... very hazy to the south.

Already at the summit area... heading for the north part of the summit area where the true summit is located.

After hiking 2.2 miles we have reached the summit (7775') of Tumalo Mountain... with a nice view of South Sister, Middle Sister and Broken Top.

BarbE leaves the summit area... as we trace our steps back to the car.

Mount Bachelor from just above the Dutchman Flat Sno Park... the hike was a total of 4.4 miles, gaining 1486 feet of elevation.
