Broken Hand West and Point 7732 - 8.16.2021

We parked at Three Creek Lake to begin our hike on Tam McArthur Trail #4078... located several miles south of the town of Sisters, Oregon.

It doesn't take long for the trail to take us above Three Creek Lake... that's North Sister above the lake on the center horizon... our first stop will be Point 7732 which is the prominent high point on the left horizon.

After hiking 1 mile we will enter the Three Sisters Wilderness.

Nearing the east end of Broken Hand... with Broken Top to the right of Broken Hand... I'm heading for the little bump out there in the foreground between Broken Top and South Sister.

After hiking a total of 4.9 miles I have reached the east end of Broken Hand... I will continue following a path on the north side of Broken Hand that will take me over to Broken Hand West.

I got my first look at 'No Name' Lake after passing by Broken Hand as I continue hiking for the summit of Broken Hand West.

After hiking a total of 5.5 miles I am looking at 'No Name' Lake and Broken Top from the summit of Broken Hand West... with Ball Butte, Tumalo Mountain and Mount Bachelor in the distance on the left... I have never seen so few people in this area.

5 minutes from the car... the hike was a total of 10.9 miles, gaining 2615 feet of elevation... as good as it gets in the Three Sisters Wilderness.
