Cyclops Rock - 1.13.2022

Turn off of Park Boulevard onto the road that leads out to Barker Dam... but only drive a tenth of a mile on the road and park in a paved pullout... east of the Hidden Valley Campground... aceman and Denali Girl are ready to climb up Cyclops Rock... but from the other side of the rock.

After hiking a quarter mile from the car to the east side of Cyclops Rock, we are ready to leave the desert floor and start scrambling our way up the rock.

After scrambling a tenth of a mile from the desert floor we have reached the eye of the cyclops... with the summit just above us.

Almost down to the desert floor... we will return to the car by looping around the north end of Cyclops Rock... making the total hike/scramble .9 miles, gaining 112 feet of elevation.
