Tumalo Mountain - 5.13.2023
I parked at the Dutchman Flat Sno-Park... located across the road from the Sunrise Lodge entrance to the Mount Bachelor Ski Area.

There is still a lot of snow and the official trailhead sign was almost totally covered.

I am snowshoeing... and after gaining 400 feet of elevation I started getting peek-a-boo views of Mount Bachelor.

The Tumalo Mountain summit is up there in the distance... it is only a 1.5 mile hike to the summit and I'm probably at least half way there.

I have reached the very flatish summit area... with the true summit in the right foreground. In the distance... left to right... South Sister, Middle Sister and Broken Top.

After snowshoeing a total of 1.5 miles I have reached the summit (7775') of Tumalo Mountain... with an awesome view of South Sister, Middle Sister, Broken Top and Tam McArthur Rim.

I took this pano just before leaving the Tumalo summit area... with Mount Bachelor on the far left and Sparks Lake in the left-center of the photo... and of course South Sister, Middle Sister, Broken Top and Tam McArthur Rim on the right.

Heading down... Bachelor is still open and there are lots of cars in the West Village parking lot on the extreme far right.

Looking back at the Tumalo Mountain summit as I head back to the car... the total hike was 3 miles, gaining 1430 feet of elevation.
