Wonderland of Rocks and Garrett's Arch - 3.26.2024

We parked at the unpaved parking lot located a quarter-mile NE of the popular paved parking lot for Barker Dam... and started hiking on the trail for the Wall Street Mill.

After hiking three-quarters of a mile we arrived at the Wall Street Stamp Mill... operated by William Keys from 1930 until 1966.

From the Wall Street Mill we continued to hike along the eastern border of the Wonderland of Rocks.

There was a little bit of rock work while hiking north along the eastern border of the Wonderland of Rocks.

Getting ready to definitely leave the Wonderland of Rocks and move onto the western side of Queen Mountain.

A pano taken from the west side of Queen Mountain... looking south to Ryan Mountain on the extreme far left horizon... and looking west and north into the Wonderland of Rocks... and on the far right we will continue hiking north along the border of the wonderland and Queen Mountain.

Star Dancer took this photo of Long Shadow, Denali Girl and me on our little side trip up to this lookout point... the snow covered San Gorgonio Mountain is on the horizon in the San Bernardino Mountains.

After hiking a total of 1.9 miles we are getting ready to enter the Wonderland of Rocks.

We are now hiking west as we enter the Wonderland of Rocks... here watching cruzman and Long Shadow do the scramble down from the Wonderland/Queen border.

After hiking a total of 2.7 miles we are hiking underneath Garrett's Arch.

Now hiking south and passing by the Freak Brothers Dome after hiking a total of 3.3 miles.

After hiking a total of 4.4 miles we have left the Wonderland of Rocks and reached the 'Pink House'... another quarter mile will get us to our cars... the total hike was 4.6 miles, gaining 363 feet of elevation.
