Hillman Peak, Point 7747 and Williams Crater - 7.15.2025

From the north entrance to Crater Lake National Park we drove on the 'North Entrance Road' for 9 miles... then 1.5 miles on West Rim Drive... then parked in a large pull-out on the NW side of Hillman Peak. This photo was taken from where we parked... looking north to Mount Bailey on the far left horizon... and Mount Thielsen on the far right horizon.

Looking back down on where we parked in the large pull-out. We crossed West Rim Drive and have scrambled up to join the Rim Trail.

After hiking a third of a mile we have left the Rim Trail and are heading up toward Hillman Peak on very steep terrain.

After hiking a total of a half-mile we have reached the west ridge of Hillman Peak... here looking north to Llao Rock... one of the peaks that are on the rim of Crater Lake.
